Concrete repair in Embrun
Embrun is about 44 km from Ottawa on the Castor River, and its population jumped nearly 25 per cent between 2016 and 2021 to 8,680 — so it has everything from 1900s farm-town buildings to subdivisions that are still being built.
Embrun is about 44 km from Ottawa on the Castor River, and its population jumped nearly 25 per cent between 2016 and 2021 to 8,680 — so it has everything from 1900s farm-town buildings to subdivisions that are still being built.
The town grew in steps: a lumber settlement from 1845, a railway in 1898, then a population that doubled between 1985 and 1995 when a mall and business park opened, and a fast residential wave through the 2000s. That makes the older Town Centre and Lapointe streets a foundation and parging market, and the newer Chantal, Maplevale and Embrun South homes a first-decade driveway and walkway market. Early settlers called the soil too moist for farming, and wet ground is still the thing to plan around.
Local flooding here has been a drainage problem as much as a river one — a 2025 report blamed improper grading and a blocked catch basin for flooding that destroyed a property in Embrun — so we check where water goes before we repair what it damaged. The Castor River is managed through South Nation Conservation, and work near the river corridor may need their sign-off. New subdivisions from builders including eQ Homes and Corvinelli Homes mean a steady supply of new slabs, steps and interlock, and about 57 per cent of residents speak French at home, so we're glad to serve you in either language. Just down Highway 174, Rockland is covered by the same crew.
